ACTIVITY 1: CROSS-PLATFORMING POSTING
ACTIVITY 2: CREATE A COMPELLING STORY
ACTIVITY 3: SHOW US YOUR STRATEGY
Adding a new exciting act is great, and gives Absinthe the opportunity to help reassure fans that the show is always evolving. With Absinthe recently celebrating 5,000 shows and 10 years in operation, it must not only attract new visitors, but also encourage guests to return and see the show again.
To roll out the new act, I would start by teasing a new act on all social platforms. This could be done by posting a mysterious picture that hints at the act, but still keep our followers guessing. This post should build hype and excite fans by letting them know a new act will be unveiled THIS WEEKEND.
After the first surprise weekend I would start with incorporating the acrobat into an episode of the #VEGASHITSHOW. This episode should give a background on the performer, similar to episode 29 with the tap dancing brothers. Since #VEGASHITSHOW usually has a fun narrative, it may be nice to incorporate a clip with the Gazillionaire initiating him into the group. This could be filmed back stage before the first show, and could include some comedic hazing. The goal of this episode would be to build a closer relationship with the audience and help him share his personality.
After the episode of #VEGASHITSHOW is released I would incorporate a photo of the act in a tweet, facebook post, and instagram post announcing the new arrival. While it is important to not give away the entire act online, it would be beneficial to upload a short 5ish second video clip for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
Lastly I would create an update with a photo and caption on Google.
ACTIVITY 4: HANDLE A CRANKY GUEST
A cranky guest is inevitable, and it is important to not ignore the problem. As the admin of review channels, my goal would be to respond to all problems publicly, but try to handle the minute details privately, through either email or DM (depending on the platform.
Great show, extremely nice service, even the door was exceptionally nice . . . until a sound engineer came to me and told me to be quiet because my enthusiasm was interfering with his sound recording, which embarrassed me in front of the entire audience. I sat quietly until the end of the show but I believe I should have my money returned. I meet hundreds of people every week who will be told this story (with some variation for imagination) until the issue is rectified. How is it possible to tell an audience member how and to what volume to resonate his enthusiasm? From that perspective I believe I would not in a lifetime recommend your show.
Hello NAME. Thank you for the kind words about the show and service.
We apologize your show was interrupted by a sound engineer. At times we do record shows for various outlets, but it is never our intention to intrude on guests experience. Thank you for bringing the matter to our attention, and allowing us to improve moving forward. We ask that you please send us an email at HELP@EMAIL.COM as we will be glad to assist you with this matter privately.
The emcees were terrible. Serial references and too much foul language did not lend anything to the show. You can see the same talent of performers if not better at other shows in Las Vegas.
Hello NAME. We apologize that you did not enjoy the show. Absinthe is a modern show which does push boundaries, and we understand everyone has an opinion. While we may not agree with everyone’s opinion, we do appreciate your feedback.
Definitely NOT worth the money. Disappointed. Moved it to a tent (covid) and still charging “cirque” prices (nobody mentioned that part) Worth $60, but no more
Hello NAME. We are so sorry that you felt the venue was not up to your expectations. For the last 10 years Absinthe has always operated out of the Spiegeltent on the Roman Plaza in front of Caesar’s Palace.
We are very proud of the intimate immersive experience our Spiegeltent offers, and believe the environment adds to the show. We do acknowledge however that you should have had an understanding of our environment prior to your show. Your recommendation will be shared internally with the team.
